Assistant Digital Editor Vacancy

November 6, 2022

We’re looking for a wordsmith who’s passionate about education, communication and the world of aviation. Could you be our new assistant digital editor, working alongside the editorial team on our best-selling digital manuals?

Padpilot is passionate about creating theoretical knowledge resources that support flight schools to deliver a modern, thorough, career-focused theory education during the academic phase of pilot training. Our aviation theory ebooks have now had around 300,000 downloads and are used by student pilots and training schools all over the world. As a result, our team is growing.

The successful candidate does not need to be a pilot but we’re looking for someone with a razor-sharp eye for detail and experience in writing, editing, or publishing.

There’s more information about this role and how to apply on our career opportunities page. We look forward to hearing from you.

** Update – Please note this position has now been fulfilled but please keep an eye on our career page for further opportunities **

ASG has been a Padpilot training partner since 2015; we are very pleased with the standard of the iBooks, together with the other training materials provided. A key part of our role is enabling learners to assimilate complex material in a meaningful and practical way. The quality of the visual elements and animations contained within Padpilot books enriches the learning process by bringing these complex theories to life in a way that makes the information easier to retain for exams, and also to apply practically when our graduates become airline pilots. This, combined with our real-world subject matter experts who facilitate both remote and in-person learning at ASG, allows us to deliver high-quality training to our ATPL and PPL students. We've always been very appreciative of the relationship we enjoy with the entire Padpilot team and are grateful for the quality of their fantastic training materials.

Excellent work on the helicopter ATPL books - and desperately needed in a training environment where so many resources are based on fixed wing theory.

Love your books. They're improving big knowledge gaps I had, especially for Meteorology. And super nice job the way you designed the PoF book as well - it helps so much with understanding everything.

Padpilot are ahead of the game; the books are beautiful, well structured and include the KSA areas for the 2020 EASA requirements. They’ve implemented new technology, such as AR and are a good match for our training philosophy which is, ‘personal pilot training, in style’. Padpilot books are convenient, paperless, and a fun way for students to study. And of course, Padpilot always offers great customer service.
