ATPL Education for the EASA 2020 Syllabus

January 27, 2020

Today is International Day of Education and we couldn’t let it pass without talking about educating the next generation of commercial pilots. It’s what drives us!

Providing cadet pilots with a solid and functional foundation of theoretical knowledge – as well as great exam results – has always been at the heart of Padpilot.

The new EASA 2020 syllabus ATPL books, launching at the end of March, will make this even easier. The chapters in each book will teach the knowledge needed to become a professional pilot. Sometimes, the text will go beyond the learning requirements of the EASA syllabus, where extra information is needed for a complete understanding of the operational role of an airline pilot.

Then, at the end of each chapter, there will be a new feature – the chapter summary. This section focuses on the essential knowledge needed for passing the regulatory exams, and directly relates to the EASA Learning Objectives. A quiz will then test each trainee pilot’s knowledge of the summary points, giving additional interactivity and knowledge reinforcement within the book itself.

Providing cadet pilots with a solid and functional foundation of theoretical knowledge has always been at the heart of Padpilot.
We’re looking forward to launching these new ATPL theory books, and the accompanying teaching presentations for ATOs soon. If you’d like to discover how Padpilot theoretical knowledge materials could support your pilot training academy or modular ground school through the EASA 2020 syllabus transition, please get in touch with cristina@padpilot.com

Padpilot helps me learn because of the range of media they use. The videos, pictures, 3D models and animations all make studying easier and more enjoyable.

Padpilot are ahead of the game; the books are beautiful, well structured and include the KSA areas for the 2020 EASA requirements. They’ve implemented new technology, such as AR and are a good match for our training philosophy which is, ‘personal pilot training, in style’. Padpilot books are convenient, paperless, and a fun way for students to study. And of course, Padpilot always offers great customer service.

Even if you are not in training to be an airline pilot I would recommend the Maths & Physics book to anybody that wants to transform their understanding of Maths (for use in any workplace) overnight.

ASG has been a Padpilot training partner since 2015; we are very pleased with the standard of the iBooks, together with the other training materials provided. A key part of our role is enabling learners to assimilate complex material in a meaningful and practical way. The quality of the visual elements and animations contained within Padpilot books enriches the learning process by bringing these complex theories to life in a way that makes the information easier to retain for exams, and also to apply practically when our graduates become airline pilots. This, combined with our real-world subject matter experts who facilitate both remote and in-person learning at ASG, allows us to deliver high-quality training to our ATPL and PPL students. We've always been very appreciative of the relationship we enjoy with the entire Padpilot team and are grateful for the quality of their fantastic training materials.
