Are you thinking about becoming a pilot, but not sure if it’s right for you? Perhaps you know you want a commercial pilot career, but you’re wondering what type of flying is best, and how to train? We can help! This month, we’re giving away ten sets of our Pilot Foundation Course to aspiring pilots. Each set comprises 3 career-focused ebooks to help you prepare for a future as a professional pilot.
Career preparation for future pilots. Becoming a pilot is the ultimate career choice for many people, and it’s a dream that often starts early in life. We recognise that many young, would-be pilots are keen to know more about the training, the job itself, and the industry, but don’t know how to get started.
On social media and at careers events (pre-covid) we chat with aspiring pilots about how and where to gain the necessary qualifications; what attributes, knowledge and skills are needed – and where to start. Some of these future pilots some years from being able to begin formal pilot training, but want to learn, research and prepare for their future flying career now.
This weekend, we’re giving away ten sets of the course, which is packed with inspiration
and information giving insider knowledge to help aspiring pilots prepare for pilot
selection and training. On our Instagram and Facebook accounts this weekend, we’ll be giving away ten sets of these 3 books:
- Book 1: You, Yourself and Aviation. Book 1 is all about what it’s like to be a professional pilot. Whether that’s an airline pilot, military pilot, flying fixed wing or rotary aircraft, this book gives you a window into the world of commercial flying. You’ll discover the varied flying roles a commercial pilot can have and find out all about available training courses, flight schools and different pilot career paths.
- Book 2: STEM for Aviation. Book 2 is a comprehensive course on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) knowledge you’ll need for an aviation career. If you’ve forgotten the science and maths you did at school, or never really understood it, this book is for you. It’s interactive and set within an aviation context, with quizzes to test your knowledge at the end of each chapter.
- Book 3: Basic Aviation Theory. Book 3 takes your technical knowledge to the next level with an introduction to the aviation theory you’ll study during pilot training. Once you’ve read this book, you’ll be able to tackle the classroom phase of pilot training (ATPL theory) with confidence.
