Our Story
Driven by a desire to raise ground training standards and pilot safety, Padpilot launched the first interactive ATPL manuals for iPad in 2011.
Since then, cadets and ATOs worldwide have downloaded hundreds of thousands of theory books. And we’re proud to partner with more than 150 academies, universities and national air forces to help deliver a productive, engaging theoretical knowledge education for the next generation of pilots.
A smarter solution for a new generation
This generation of students likes to learn interactively. So our materials are designed to bring theory to life, encouraging deeper, long-term understanding. Plus, we’ve worked closely with airlines to identify core knowledge and skills requirements. Our content is based on the EASA Learning Objectives, with in-depth analysis of what students need to become competent airline pilots.

We continue to take advantage of the latest technological innovations to develop new, increasingly immersive courseware for trainee pilots, to give them the best learning experience possible.
