The Air League
The Air League provides the broadest range of aviation scholarships in the UK. Founded in 1909, it aims to ‘Change Lives Through Aviation’ with the provision of its Flying, Gliding, Engineering, Drone and ATPL Theory opportunities, alongside a catalogue of events and outreach programmes designed to inspire and enable the next generation of aviators.
As a result, we’re delighted to be supporting the charity’s 2024 ATPL(A) Theory Bursaries – a new opportunity for student pilots wishing to pursue a career in commercial aviation. So far this year the Air League has provided 90 flying, gliding, and electric flying scholarships: adding to almost £2m of funding opportunities awarded over the past decade.
“The Air League is delighted to announce the addition of a new ATPL Theory bursary to our ever-growing scholarship programme. This bursary is designed specifically for members who have already obtained their PPL(A) and are eager to advance to the next stage of their pilot training.
This exciting development is made possible by the incredibly generous donation from Padpilot, who have provided five ATPL Theory Bursaries. We extend our deepest thanks to Padpilot for their generosity and investment in our members.” – Ben Harris, Scholarships Programme Manager.
