Today we have released a free digital guide: Distance Learning with Padpilot.

It’s for trainee or aspiring pilots who wish to make progress towards a career as an airline pilot while at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘The Padpilot Guide To Distance Learning’ can be downloaded from the Apple Books store onto iPad, iPhone or Mac. It will help you study ATPL theory productively on your own and give you an understanding of how the subjects are relevant to an airline career. Without the overwhelm of the vast ATPL theory syllabus.

Prepare for pilot training at home

The guide accompanies Padpilot’s new EASA 2020 syllabus ATPL(A) books. It contains study tips and explanations of how to use the features within Padpilot theory books to enhance your learning and memory retention.

Now, having received requests for help from those in self-isolation, Padpilot has included additional information for those wanting to use their time at home to prepare for professional pilot training courses, before they begin a formal pilot training programme.

It can be daunting to know where to start with ATPL theory, but with some structure and guidance, it’s possible to make good progress. If you are studying before your course even begins, you may not have any aviation experience yet.

So the guide explains how to build your aviation knowledge, which theory books to start with and why, and which subjects to save for ATPL ground school with an instructor.
