Updates and enhancements to Padpilot ATPL(A) 2024
This week we will begin publishing major updates and enhancements to our best-selling Padpilot ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge materials. A new version of each of the ATPL(A) theory subject books will be released during July 2024. Updates are free of charge.
This exciting update reflects our commitment to providing the most up-to-date, effective resources for students training to become commercial pilots.
Latest EASA regulatory update
These revisions address recent regulatory changes including:
Amendment 10 to Executive Decision 2020/018/R: This amendment introduces changes to the theoretical knowledge (TK) syllabus, as outlined in the Appendix to AMC & GM to Part-FCL, Issue 1, Amendment 10 ED Decision 2020/018/R, released in January 2024
TK Syllabus Comparison v.5 and ECQB 2024 Amendment 5: These documents identify amended learning objectives and introduce new questions to all subjects in the European Central Question Bank (ECQB).

Easier studying
Additionally, the book updates will incorporate new enhancements from our editorial team and subject matter experts.
We thoroughly reviewed the 2nd Edition ebooks (first published in 2020 for the EASA 2020 TK syllabus) when the regulatory changes were announced. So, the new book content will also include new explanations, images and better formatting for an even better studying experience.
July release
The updates are being released throughout July to both the Padpilot eReader and Padpilot Apple Books 2nd editions.
To access the new versions, download your update in the usual way. Whenever we publish an eReader book amendment an ‘update’ symbol will appear on the book on your bookshelf. Just click the icon and the update will download. Any notes and highlights are transferred automatically. (Padpilot book updates are always free of charge for the lifetime of that edition)
Additionally, Padpilot’s resources for pilot training providers – including ATO classroom presentation slides and supporting documentation – will also receive the new content and updates.
“We are proud to offer this significant revision to our ATPL(A) educational materials.
These updates come at a time of continuing growth for Padpilot as we’re not only enhancing our books, but also developing new complementary products, too. We’re harnessing the latest AI technology to continue to deliver the most advanced educational resources for the next generation of pilots”.
